The Advantage of Being a Friendly Chaser
We’ve said it before. Chasers have, within the big men and
chubby chaser community, a reputation for not getting along
with each other. For the most part, it’s heavily
exaggerated. But maybe, just maybe, there’s a grain of truth
to saying that men who are into big men aren’t always very
fond of their own kind. If this is true, it’s stupid.
There’s no point. There’s no reason to be jealous of other
guys having the same taste in men as you. Heck, you should
be happy that you’re not alone.
Chub Chaser Event Confidential
Curious about heading to a chub/chaser event, but not sure
what to expect? Tony Sledge gives you a look at the fun,
hot, and slightly crazy times that happen at every event,
complete with photos of May's ECC 2005.
The Future of Chasing
The idea that obesity rates are on a serious and deadly rise
in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Spain, England, and
Italy has been hammered into us for the past few years.
Always accompanied by shocking (and really demeaning)
footage of extremely large men and women with the faces cut
out, these stories emphasize, with the usual degree of media
dramatics, that the average weight of people in these
countries is climbing higher. This would be good news for
chasers, wouldn’t it? Tons of new big boys coming for the
next generation?
Top Five Dream Jobs for Chasers
As a chubby chaser, you’ve known for years that some
situations have been more likely to involve big men. Maybe
you’ve even gone to events or stores just because you
thought there would be more eye-candy there. Sci-fi
conventions and football games are popular examples. But
what if you could have a job where you got to stare at big
men all day? How awesome would that be?
A
Chaser's Perspective On "The Biggest Loser"
"The Biggest Loser" is the new shock-reality show on NBC
this season. Its premise? The twelve contestants, initially
divided into two teams, compete to see who can lose the most
weight in the shortest amount of time. It is hosted by
Caroline Rhea, as well as two (obnoxious) physical trainer
gurus.
Finding the Right Fit
It was James’s dream car. “When I walked into the dealership, and saw it sitting
there, pearl white paint, orange leather, I knew that this was the right car for
me.” James, a chaser, said, recalling his car shopping visit with his boyfriend
Lyle, a 6’4”, 350lb chub. Unfortunately, this car was a 2004 Honda S2000. “I sat
in it fine, but when Lyle came in, his head was over the top of the windshield,
and his knees were up to his chest.”
Flying Large
As a plus-sized guy, traveling presents some general
obstacles. Air travel in particular, though, has been a
source of contention for its treatment of chubby passengers.
Some airlines in particular have been implementing policies
that can cause headaches and make life difficult.
Under 1 Big Sky
You are not alone in the struggle to be free from size-biased discrimination. The National Association for Fat Acceptance has been on the
frontlines of this war for over 25 years.
Body Politics
The city of San Francisco, California passes anti-body-bias ordinance.
